There’s something I’ve noticed after nearly four decades of helping people buy homes.
Most buyers make up their minds within the first few minutes of walking through a house.
"I don't like the carpet."
"The kitchen is dated."
"The fence needs replacing."
"I wish it had new windows."
"The paint has to go."
And before long...
They've already moved on to the next listing.
But every once in a while, I walk through a home and find myself smiling.
Because while someone else is seeing old carpet ... I'm seeing opportunity.
I've learned that some of the best homes simply need someone with a little vision.
Looking Beyond What's Right in Front of You
One of the things I love most about real estate is that sometimes the best house isn't the one that's picture-perfect.
Sometimes it's the one with great bones.
The one in the neighborhood you've always wanted. The one with mature trees. The one with the mountain view. The one with the incredible floor plan. The one that simply needs someone to see what it could become.
I've watched buyers walk away from homes because they couldn't get past cosmetic updates.
And I've watched other buyers recognize the potential...and end up with the home they truly wanted.
Perspective changes everything.

One of my favorite parts of my job isn't simply helping people qualify for a mortgage.
